Organic Fine Dining? Yes, Please.

At an omakase-style counter in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, I watched buckwheat bread batter spread onto a hot stone – and baked within minutes. Light, delicious, and served with a guilt-free side of almond butter, it was the type of innovative cuisine that defined Mandarin Oriental’s Organic Wellness Lunch. This 9-course meal is a must-try for clean eating aficionados, who will revel in the intriguing and surprising combination of dishes.

In an age where we are increasingly health-conscious and increasingly pressed for time, this gastronomical experience – which can be fit into just over an hour without feeling rushed – is exactly what Kuala Lumpur needs. The interactive aspects such as harvesting your own salad, added a refreshing twist, while reinventions of long-loved dishes such as stuffed peppers, or asparagus and poached egg, provided a classic feel.
