Asia’s leading contemporary dance group, Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, brings the premiere of Formosa in South East Asia to Istana Budaya. A tribute to Ilha Formosa, the name Portuguese sailors gave to Taiwan in the 16th Century that also means ‘’beautiful island’’, this slow dance evokes the dark story of Southern China’s past with grace.
