Beyoncé launched her long-awaited athleisure collection with Topshop’s Sir Philip Green, WWD reports. Dubbed Ivy Park, the line of sportswear-cum-streetwear will be sold at Topshop, Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter and more.
In an introductory video, Beyoncé opens up about her connection to exercise on a physical and mental level: “I would wake up in the morning and my dad would come knocking at my door, and tell me it’s time to go running,” she says. “I remember wanting to stop, but I would push myself to keep going.” Beyoncé’s voice plays over images of her running, swimming, dancing and even carting Blue Ivy around on her back:
“There are things I’m still afraid of. When I have to conquer those things, I still go back to that park. Before I hit the stage, I go back to that park. When it was time for me to give birth, I went back to that park. The park became a state of mind. The park became my strength. The park is what made me who I am.“
