Dolly Parton is launching a fashion, jewellery and homewares collection. The legendary country singer has signed a new deal with IMG aims to develop her as a lifestyle brand, WWD reports.
No further details about the line have been released, but we can assume it’ll reflect the star’s personal Americana-inspired style.
“I am excited to be working with IMG on a global scale to give my fans products that they will cherish for years to come,” Parton said in a statement. “You might even see my mug on a mug.”
The much-loved musician, whose face and named adorns one of this season’s new Gucci jackets, has a recognisable look, characterised by embellishment, denim, cowboy hats and body-skimming silhouettes. She and her creative director and wardrobe designer, Steve Summers, are known to create around 300 outfits each year.
“Dolly Parton is an international icon and we are thrilled to be working with her,” said IMG licensing vice president Gary Krakower. “Together, we look forward to building cohesive lifestyle brand products that will celebrate Dolly and bring her iconic style and personality to her millions of fans worldwide in engaging new ways.”
