A documentary about the life of legendary fashion designer Ralph Lauren is set for release later this year.

Entitled Very Ralph, the feature-length film will follow the fascinating life story of the 79-year-old designer – from his upbringing in the Bronx, to the launch of his eponymous label and his half-century-long marriage to Ricky Anne Loew-Beer.

The HBO documentary will focus on the evolution of his impressive six decades in the fashion industry, tracking how he became one of the most recognised designers in the world and the living embodiment of the American Dream. It will be directed and produced by award-winning documentarian Susan Lacy.

As well as candid interviews with the man himself, the film will also include an array of interviews with some of Lauren’s closest family and friends, notably the late Karl Lagerfeld who died earlier this year aged 85.
