Selena Gomez has trademarked her name, TMZ reports, and while the legal action will prevent other people from making TV and movie appearances or releasing music in her name, it could also be a step towards launching an eponymous jewellery line. “Selena has filed legal docs asking for the right to market jewellery,” the website writes. If that’s true, Gomez adds jewelled accessories to her laundry list of highly-anticipated projects announced this year. She’s designing a collection for Coach, executive producing Netflix’s Thirteen Reasons Why and recording music again. Over the weekend, the 24-year-old also became linked to a cosmetics collaboration with Pat McGrath, after the renowned makeup artist and beauty mogul shared photos with the singer and her glitter lip kits. Although she hasn’t publicly shared any info on that project yet, or the rumored jewelry label, we’ll be here patiently waiting.
