Selena Gomez’s First Coach Campaign Is Here

Selena Gomez has officially made her debut as the new face of Coach. The singer stars in the brand’s new campaign, where she’s seen lounging in the rear leather seats of a vintage car. From the looks of the ads, this is not your average road trip. Gomez wears a Coach blush pink prairie dress and totes the brand’s Swagger bag while radiating her classic Cool Girl vibe from the backseat (no neck pillows and headphones here).

“Selena is a rebel and a romantic, a dreamer and a doer who boldly charts her own course,” creative director Stuart Vevers said of the campaign star. The label really pulled out all the stops for this shoot: Steven Meisel photographed, Pat McGrath did makeup, Guido Palau did hair and Karl Templer styled.

Gomez was happy with the result. “I couldn’t be more proud to be the face of Coach,” she said. “I’ve also loved working with Stuart, I admire his vision and his designs.”

The 24-year-old was first reported to be working with the American brand in December, when news leaked that she landed a $10 million deal with the Vevers-helmed label. In the following months, the actress and singer was seen wearing Coach pieces, from a graphic sweatshirt and handbag on the street, to a head-to-toe look at the Met Gala. In addition to co-designing a collection, Gomez is also collaborating with the brand on its philanthropic projects. In March, she surprised a group of female students to support Coach’s partner charity, Step Up.

Details on Gomez’s design collab still remain scant, but hopefully the launch of her campaign is a hint that we’ll find out more info soon.
