Ideal for every coffee drinker who craves a good night’s sleep, head over to Spillstone Coffee for their specialised decaf brews. If you adore The Hungry Tapir, then you will love their sister cafe down the street named LaGula by The Hungry Tapir. Here, you will find plant-based baked goods and brunch favourites. However, for those who can’t get enough of warm, toasty bagels – bagelhaus’ is the newest joint for you to add to your wishlist.

Spillstone Coffee
Come experience the cosy and sophisticated atmosphere of Pudu’s newest coffee shop, Spillstone Coffee. Whether you’re a decaf coffee lover or a fan of the real deal, Spillstone Coffee has got you covered. With a wide range of delicious bites on the menu, including mushroom steak burgers, jerk chicken, and shepherd’s pie, there’s something for everyone. Get ready to be visually transported to an island getaway. LaGula by The Hungry Tapir is Petaling Street’s newest spot for vegan breakfast classics and pastries. Yes, everything is vegan-friendly. Just imagine – they’ll be replacing butter with olive oil spread and switching out pastrami with black bean and soy brisket. Founded by the team behind The Hungry Tapir, the cafe exudes a vibrant yet quirky feel with its rattan-inspired interior and pink touches. Here, you will find their signature plant-based croissants, cakes, macarons and hearty yet appetising breakfast meals. Don’t forget to order a side of their delicious brews with your breakfast – you won’t regret it.

Sunyay Bakehouse
Situated in Empire Damansara, Sunyay Bakehouse is your go-to destination for baked treats. Perfect to be enjoyed on a warm yet sunny day, the cafe is here to win hearts with its delicious sweets and laid-back interior. Decorated with its rustic-meets-modern contemporary interior, we can foresee this being a perfect sunyay hangout spot. You’ll find buttery scones, a mixture of sweet and savoury danishes, melon buns and beyond on the menu.

Bagelhaus
If you’re on the hunt for scrumptious bagels, look no further than PJ’s bagelhaus. To spot the cafe, their ‘bagelhaus’ sign on the chocolate-coloured window sill is hard to miss. Inside, you’ll be greeted by checked floors and the enticing aroma of freshly baked bagels. With various flavours like the OG, black olive & cheddar, blueberry, and golden garlic, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from. But the key to a perfect bagel is the cream cheese spread, and bagelhaus’ has you covered with various mouth-watering options like strawberry delight, basil pesto & sundried tomato, and earl grey milk.

Lastly, on our new cafe guide to explore in KL throughout May 2023 is Soul Woaw.
