Visuals of Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra

The new Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra has truly raised the bar with a design that’s both sleek and refined. I was pleasantly surprised when I first saw it—gone are the usual round and rectangular shapes. Instead, it boasts a stylish square face with soft, smooth edges that somehow make it look even more impressive than before. Although it’s slightly smaller than previous models, the 47-mm square face gives it a striking presence on the wrist. With its titanium case and sapphire glass face, the premium feel is undeniable.

It’s clear that Samsung put a lot of thought into making this watch look and feel top-notch. But that’s not all; the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra also features an amazing wristband: the Ultra Marine Band. It feels smooth and light on my skin, keeping things comfortable and preventing harsh friction. Plus, I don’t have to worry about sweating – this band resists sweat, avoids slipping, and is a breeze to wear. To top it off, it comes in a range of colours, including Titanium Grey, Titanium Silver, and Titanium White.

By the way, I went with the Titanium Silver.

Navigation made easy

When it comes to smartwatches, especially for fitness, we all know that heart rate sensors and health metrics need to be spot-on. They must be highly accurate and on top of its game, at least in my view. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra delivers on this front with its bioactive sensors, which enhance the accuracy of my heart rate monitor and introduce new health metrics, such as a light sensor, accelerometer, and temperature sensor.

Not only that, but the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra also includes handy navigation tools, such as a compass and a trackback system. These features are total lifesavers when I’m out camping. Additionally, if you enjoy splashing around as much as I do, you’ll appreciate its water resistance feature. It has a clever waterproof system that expels any water that sneaks in, complete with easy-to-follow instructions. While it’s not quite suited for deep diving or snorkelling, it’s perfect for a swim in the pool or the ocean.

Lasting battery life

Moving on, Samsung’s tests reveal that the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra packs a battery life of around 590mAh. Based on my experience, however, the watch easily lasts just over two days with occasional use and can stretch up to three to five days on power-saving mode. When it comes to recharging, it took me about three to four hours to get it back to full power. So, keep an eye on your battery life and plan your adventures wisely, nobody wants their watch to run out of juice halfway through an epic hike.
