If we were to describe Ulla Johnson’s Spring/Summer 2025 show in two words, it would be ethereal and elegant. During our time at New York Fashion Week, we kicked off our day bright and early for Ulla Johnson’s highly anticipated runway show. Nestled within West Chelsea, the historic Terminal Warehouse, erected in 1891, stood as a pivotal industrial transportation hub in New York City. Today, it provides the ideal setting for Ulla Johnson’s Spring/Summer 2025 show.
Ulla Johnson, known for her vibrant use of vivid colours and embroidered textures, took a unique turn with her SS25 collection. She joined forces with artist Lee Krasner, a collaboration that brought a new dimension to her work. Krasner’s vibrant pink and green abstract imagery, seen in pieces from ‘Portrait in Green’ and ‘Palingenesis’, added a whimsical touch to the collection.

A love for art and nature
Ulla Johnson’s connection with nature is deeply rooted in her upbringing and her adoration for flowers. This love for nature has always been a driving force in her creations, evident in her use of colours, patterns, and textures that mimic the beauty of the natural world.

That said, we believe that the collection speaks profoundly to us and left a mark on our hearts with its soft use of colours, fluidity, and silhouettes for the everyday wardrobe.
The collection is a testament to Ulla Johnson’s versatility, featuring distinct hints of sportswear separates, midi dresses, utilitarian silhouettes, and intricate textures. Additionally, we adore the sophisticated use of big bows, feathered fringe, and ruffles to add a sense of softness and fluidity to every look.
These elements, combined with the vibrant colours and nature-inspired designs, scream the epitome of summer. Embracing elegance with every stride, the runway show instantly became a favourite due to its soft yet sophisticated touch and playful textures, elevating our summer adventures in New York City.
