Ariana Grande Expands Her Vision with eternal sunshine deluxe: brighter days ahead and Accompanying Short Film

Ariana Grande continues to captivate both musically and visually with the release of eternal sunshine deluxe: brighter days ahead, the expanded edition of her critically acclaimed seventh studio album. The deluxe reissue builds on the emotional resonance and sonic richness of eternal sunshine, a record that has earned Platinum certification and delivered multiple Billboard Hot 100 number-one hits—including fan favourites “yes, and?” and “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)”.

The deluxe version offers deeper insight into Grande’s artistic world, enhancing the emotional narrative with new material and a powerful visual companion.

In conjunction with the deluxe release, Grande unveiled Brighter Days Ahead—a short film that marks her directorial debut, co-directed with Christian Breslauer. Set in a hauntingly futuristic world, the musical sci-fi drama continues the story of Peaches, the character Grande first introduced in the “we can’t be friends” music video.

The film follows Peaches seventy years after undergoing a memory-erasure procedure to forget a past relationship. Now revisiting four of her most meaningful memories for the final time, Peaches confronts fragments of her childhood, career, loss, and legacy—culminating in a poignant finale where her father attempts to bring her back to life. Told through a series of emotionally charged musical sequences, including tracks like “Eternal Sunshine,” “Dandelion,” and “Hampstead,” the short film deepens the album’s themes of love, memory, and transformation.

With eternal sunshine deluxe: brighter days ahead, Ariana Grande blurs the lines between music and cinema, and we can’t wait to see what else she does in this space.
