British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson has officially joined OMEGA’s prestigious circle of global ambassadors, bringing his powerful on-screen charisma and dedication to excellence to the iconic watch brand—imprinting a new milestone for OMEGA.
Born Aaron Perry Johnson on June 13, 1990, in High Wycombe, England, Aaron Taylor-Johnson began his acting career at a young age. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of John Lennon in the 2009 biopic Nowhere Boy, directed by Sam Taylor-Wood, whom he married in 2012. His subsequent roles in Kick-Ass (2010) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) solidified his status in Hollywood.
In 2016, Aaron earned a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Nocturnal Animals. He has since appeared in notable films such as Tenet (2020), Bullet Train (2022), and Kraven the Hunter (2024). In 2024, he was reportedly offered the role of James Bond, succeeding Daniel Craig .
To mark the beginning of this exciting partnership, Taylor-Johnson visited OMEGA’s headquarters in Biel, Switzerland, where he explored the brand’s acclaimed watchmaking facilities and its heritage museum.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Aaron expressed, “I place significant value on relationships that are genuine and built on mutual passion and respect. With that, it’s a tremendous honor to be selected as a Brand Ambassador.” He also revealed a personal connection to the brand: “My interest in watches first began with my dad who introduced me to Omega, if you can believe it. He was working class and saved his earnings to purchase an Omega watch.”
During his visit to Switzerland, Aaron wore the Speedmaster First OMEGA in Space on a brown leather strap (reference 310.32.40.50.06.002)—a timepiece celebrated for its vintage design and historic link to space exploration. OMEGA is proud to welcome Aaron to the family.
