Balenciaga Launches New 10-Piece Fragrance Collection

Balenciaga’s new fragrance collection distills the House’s past and future into ten distinctive scents, each a fusion of tradition and reinvention.

Balenciaga has always thrived on contrasts—discipline and daring, tradition and disruption, minimalism and drama. Now, that spirit has been distilled into a new fragrance collection that’s as bold as it is poetic: ten scents that feel like Balenciaga couture, but bottled.

The idea began with a forgotten treasure. After a 15-year archival search, the House uncovered a 1947 bottle of Le Dix, the very first Balenciaga perfume. That rediscovery became the spark for a complete olfactive rebirth. The bottles in the collection echo that original design—with their rounded glass caps, hand-tied ribbons, and deliberately timeworn packaging—bridging Balenciaga’s Parisian roots with a futuristic edge.

And the scents themselves? They read like characters in a Balenciaga show, each one commanding its own presence. No Comment is quietly powerful, resinous and green, the kind of fragrance that doesn’t need to explain itself. Getaria recalls founder Cristóbal Balenciaga’s seaside hometown, mixing hot sun with marine freshness in a disarming clash of temperatures. Twenty Four Seven is a warm vanilla cocoon that feels like an anchor in the chaos of daily life, while To Be Confirmed lingers like a flower caught mid-bloom, delicate and enigmatic.

For moments that call for drama, Muscara leans sultry and lacquered, all iris and ambrette with a glossy sheen. Le Dix, the revived classic, reemerges with iris, violet leaf, and incense—nostalgic yet entirely renewed. 100% turns the rose into an operatic spectacle, metallic and oversized, while Extra fizzes with pink pepper and heat, unfolding like a spark in the dark. Cristóbal pays homage to the couturier himself with refined oud and patchouli, textured and weighty. And at the heart of it all, Incense Perfumum acts as the collection’s soul, weaving sacred resins and smoky woods into a timeless black signature.

The campaign, created by British artist Katerina Jebb, mirrors the collection’s ethos of duality. Known for her use of high-resolution scanning technology, Jebb captures the flacons, packaging, and archival documents with precision and intimacy, presenting them as both relics of history and modern industrial artworks. The result is a visual narrative that reinforces Balenciaga’s olfactive identity: a dialogue between heritage and forward-thinking innovation.

Muscara

Glossy and sultry, Muscara strikes a tension between ambrette warmth and sleek iris, conjuring the allure of lacquer against skin.

100%
