The REDManifesto Runway: A Celebration of Identity, Self-Worth and Spirit of Womanhood

Lights, camera, action!

The debut of REDManifesto Runway at KL Fashion Week 2025 was met with moments of splendour, beauty and purpose. Together with L’Oréal Paris, as the Official Beauty, Makeup & Hair Partner of KL Fashion Week 2025, the show sparked a movement with themes focusing on duality, form and force.

Transforming the runway into a platform for empowerment and healing, every stride and moment represents resilience and individuality through bold splashes of red—a symbol of women’s courage to reclaim their voices.

L’Oréal Paris reinforced its iconic mantra, “Because you’re worth it,” positioning itself as a champion for women’s visibility and empowerment. The message behind the runway show was centred around 22 extraordinary Women of Worth across diverse fields, who represent strength, resilience and impact.

From media personalities like Tehmina Kaoosji to social entrepreneurs like Aida Zunaidi and cultural guardians like Dato’ Jacqueline Fong, each woman’s unique narrative of strength and purpose redefined beauty as a light of inspiration, proving that fashion belongs to every woman.

Other notable trailblazers include Amanda Nell Eu, Andrea Wong, Bella Astillah, Caryn Loh, Charissa Chong, Che Puan Sarimah Ibrahim, Debbie Goh, Datin Wira Livonia Ricky Guing, Dr. Premitha Damodaran, Fiona Tan, Hannah Tan, Maheswari Jaganathan, Madiha Fuad, Melissa Tan, Renuga Nair, Winifred Duraisingam and Zahnita Wilson.

REDManifesto is not just a vision of womanhood; it’s a movement rooted in Malaysian identity. The event exemplifies that contemporary femininity encompasses intelligence, cultural depth, and emotional strength—a statement in the fashion landscape.

The REDManifesto also set the stage for intriguing collaborations with nine visionary Malaysian designers, each interpreting duality and feminine energy in their spectacular collections. As each trailblazing icon walked down the runway with a powerful stride, these designers amplified the meaning of strength with their silhouettes. Suet Lin embraced inclusivity through a series of sculptural designs, while Zaff Jibby presented refined, architectural pieces. On the other hand, Enya Chok’s emotionally resonant garments and Marcus Liew’s dreamlike deconstructions add to the allure of the fashion narrative.

As L’Oréal Paris sets a new standard for runway presentations, the RED Manifesto sends a powerful declaration of women’s strength and individuality, echoing a visionary message that transcends the realm of style.
