Haus Nowhere is an experimental execution of Gentle Monster’s vision of “Future Retail”, which blends art, fashion, and architecture. In September 2025, it opened its Seongsu-dong doors to great fanfare–captivating the public with its mammoth 14-floor Brutalist building and its immersive retail experience of its brands, Gentle Monster, Tamburins, Nudake, Atiissu, and Nuflaat, within. Alongside the wares, there are surreal installations, including artist Max Siedentopf’s More is More showcase, a supersized, ultra-realistic robotic dachshund Sunshine, and sensory tea and dessert shop, Nudake Teahouse.
It is a concept that has captured the imagination of the world, travelling to Seoul, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and now, Bangkok. In December 2025, Haus Nowhere opens in Icon Siam in Bangkok, Thailand. Its arrival makes it the first Haus Nowhere in Southeast Asia, marking Gentle Monster’s third store in Bangkok as well as Tamburins’s inaugural store in the city.
This duplex store, with Tamburins on the lower floor, “offers a sensory experience that immerses visitors in an exploration of the human psyche”, according to the official press release. To represent this, two humanoid creatures hover over the retail space. These giant objets have pensive expressions. The 13-meter-long animatronic dachshund Sunshine, developed by the in-house lab of Gentle Monster’s parent company, IICOMBINED, also makes a home of the new store. Only two Sunshine installations exist in the entire world: Seoul and Bangkok.
On 8 December, Gentle Monster held its grand opening of Haus Nowhere Bangkok. It was attended by Asia’s biggest celebrities, including k-pop star Stray Kids’s Felix, as well as Thai actors, Bright Vachirawit Chivaaree, Win Metawin, Fourth Nattawat Jirochtikul, and Orm Kornnaphat Sethratanapong. They joined in the celebration, exploring the store and playing around with the interactive experiences, including the Sunshine AI Photo Booth.
