Chinese New Year 2026: Limited-Edition Bottles to Welcome the Year of the Horse

Time to Celebrate!

As Chinese New Year approaches, limited-edition bottles take on a more considered role. Beyond their festive appeal, they become thoughtful gestures, objects designed to be displayed, gifted and enjoyed at a slower pace. For the Year of the Horse, these releases reflect ideas of movement, strength and renewal, interpreted through craftsmanship and design.

A curated edit of Chinese New Year 2026 limited-edition bottles, blending design, heritage and symbolism for the Year of the Horse.

Don Julio

Don Julio 1942 enters the Lunar New Year dressed in red and gold, with horse motifs woven into the bottle’s lacquered design. While the exterior signals celebration, the tequila remains unchanged, offering the same smooth, richly layered profile it is known for. The release carries an added sense of symmetry, as 1942 was itself a Year of the Horse, making this edition feel thoughtful rather than simply seasonal.

Martell

Martell’s Cordon Bleu is reintroduced for Chinese New Year 2026 through an artist-led lens, with Chinese calligrapher He Datian bringing a quiet sense of movement to the iconic bottle. His design subtly forms a horse within the Martell name, reflecting both the Year of the Horse and the House’s long-standing history. Inside, the classic Borderies-led cognac remains unchanged, offering the same rounded, layered character that has defined Cordon Bleu for over a century.

Glenfiddich

This Chinese New Year gift pack highlights one of Glenfiddich’s most expressive whiskies, matured for 21 years before a finishing period in Caribbean rum casks. The result is a spirit that balances softness with warmth, revealing notes of fruit, spice and gentle oak over time.

Hennessy

Hennessy’s Lunar New Year edition sees the classic V.S.O.P bottle reinterpreted through the lens of contemporary artist Xu Zhen. The design, rendered in rich red with sculptural horse imagery, adds a modern visual language to a cognac shaped by generations. Familiar in taste yet refreshed in presentation, it strikes a balance between tradition and cultural relevance for the season ahead.
