Bag of the Month: Delvaux’s Brillant Tempo S

The Brillant Tempo S is modern take on Delvaux’s iconic silhouette.

Le Brillant was first created in 1958. It was inspired by the striking Pavillon Philips at the Brussels World Expo in the same year, which was beautifully engineered by the architect Le Corbusier. It soon became one of the brand’s most famous bags, known for its signature horseshoe-shaped buckle, which doubled as a representation of the D in Delvaux. As with all its exquisite creations, Le Brillant pays tribute to the Belgian maison’s centuries-long history of excellent craftsmanship and mastery of leather.

Expanding the influence of Le Brillant, Delvaux presents Brillant Tempo S. Crafted in the same supple leather as its original blueprint, the smaller Brillant Tempo S reveals a softer, lighter silhouette with goat-suede lining inside. It is a touch of elegance without losing its signature structure. Versatile in design, it can be styled for any occasion; it is suitable for everyday wear when worn cross-body or adjusted to be more formal when held by its top handle.
