The classic bucket bag gets the Versace treatment.

Each month, Harper’s BAZAAR Malaysia puts a spotlight on a bag that we think will cause the most commotion, from its compelling history and immaculate craftsmanship or its ability to speak to fashion enthusiasts of every generation. This month, Dario Vitale’s creation for Versace during his short tenure at Versace makes the cut. The Versace Pivot bag takes the classic bucket bag and gives it a luxurious makeover.

The bag’s body–rendered in leather or brightly-coloured blue, red, and green suede–is stamped with a distinctive Medusa emblem, the same one that can be spotted on the door of via Gesù, 12, the original Milanese home and atelier of Versace. After Vitale’s rebelliously colourful garments, this bag sparked the most conversation when the creative director’s first Versace collection debuted at Pinacoteca Ambrosiana.
