What a race! The Azerbaijan Grand Prix delivers a thrilling race experience. With Max Verstappen claiming an epic lights-to-flag win, the Redbull driver was in the lead throughout the 51 laps—winning by over 14 seconds from Mercedes’ George Russell. Russell, who earned himself a P2 win, went into battle with Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson. However, Tsunoda was looking strong on track last weekend, earning himself a sixth position—a remarkable feat for the Red Bull driver.

As for Carlos Sainz, the Williams driver claimed his first podium win. Starting front row on the grid with a deserving P2 spot during qualifying, the driver raced to victory with a P3 finish. On another note, Drivers’ Championship leader McLaren Oscar Piastri suffered a disastrous opening lap. With him jumping the lights, activating anti-stall and crashing out at Turn 5 before dropping out of the race, this gave advantage to teammate Lando Norris, who closed the gap to Piastri’s points and earned him 299 points, with 25 points to Piastri’s 324 points.

As for the Ferrari drivers, teammates Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc secured P8 and P9 finishes. Isack Hadjar managed to speed his way through the top 10. With seven races remaining, the 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix gave Verstappen the chance to reclaim a back-to-back win. However, the real inspiration came from Carlos Sainz, who proved that hard work and determination can take you to where you need to be, earning a podium win—his first for Williams.
