“The Best Divers Watch” Belongs to Tudor

TUDOR wins its eighth distinction at the 22nd Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.

Considered the Oscars of the watchmaking industry, the event salutes the excellence of horological production and annually rewards the finest creations and the most important operators in the watchmaking sector.

The TUDOR Pelagos FXD has just earned the title as the “Best Diver’s Watch” at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. Carefully selected by a panel of highly esteemed members from the watch industry, the category featured leading watches in the world of diving, with functions and materials so grand they are suited for subaquatic use.

Dating back to 1956, the relationship between TUDOR and the Marine nationale (French Navy) is a story for every vintage watch collector. From the Submariner watch in 1953, to the series of Tudor Oyster Prince Submariner’s up until 1999, the collection of professional dive watches were deemed “perfect” and “entirely correct” for every command officer of the Groupe d’Étude et de Recherches Sous-Marines (G.E.R.S.) during the time.

The Pelagos FXD

Proven underwater, in the air and on dry land.

The Pelagos FXD goes one step beyond yet still maintains the rich tradition which has lasted through the decades. With its oversized bidirectional bezel in titanium containing a ceramic insert, each navigational countdown setting is fast and easy. With no week point, its 42 mm satin-brushed case is made out of a single block of titanium and fixed strap bars. The case can only take on a one-piece rubber or fabric strap with a self-gripping fastening system assuring every diver that their safety and security is looked out for.

A case back engraved with the Marine nationale (French Navy) logo and the inscription “M.N.21” (Marine nationale 2021), inspired by the original engravings of the 1970s and ’80s.

Underwater, we cannot afford to lose any time therefore, the Manufacture Calibre MT5602 is COSC rated with a 70-hour power reserve and 200m waterproofness ensures that you can dive as long and as deep as your heart desires.
