He wanted to be a dancer

If you think he couldn’t be charming enough, the star initially wanted to be a dancer. White studied jazz, tap, and ballet when he was a kid. In his interview with Variety, the star mentioned that he tap dances all the time once the director yells “CUT” and declares it as a “meditative thing”.

In his interview with Interview magazine, he shared his love for the form of art, “It’s not really hidden, but I love to dance. I trained as a dancer when I was young—jazz, ballet, tap. Going out dancing with friends is my favourite thing to do. I break out all my old moves. All my friends make fun of me because I have a very specific dance I do when the tempo changes. I guess it would be described as a weird sashay-tap thing. But if I could dance forever, that would be great.”

Here’s us wishing he scores a role in a musical soon. We can dream.

His candle of choice? Diptyque.

He was introduced to Diptyque by a friend and would bring his candle everywhere when he was filming, too. His go-to candle? Figuier.

His commitment to the role is remarkable. In the hit TV series, White plays Chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, a talented young chef who returns to run his family sandwich shop after a tragic loss in his family. Fans of the show will appreciate his impressive acting skills and notice the efforts he put into his role. To prepare for the part, White underwent extensive training, including working in various restaurants in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, as well as attending two weeks of culinary school. He further honed his skills by spending most of his time cooking on the line at a Michelin-starred restaurant called Pasjoli in Santa Monica, California. Additionally, Celebrity Chef Matty Matheson, who served as a co-producer for the series, gave him some valuable tips.

He can’t live without his moleskin journal and his Il Bisonte leather binder

Wherever he goes, White carries his moleskin journal daily for organising his thoughts and making lists. His other essential is his Il Bisonte leather binder, which he religiously brings on set to keep his scripts, and to all ‘Shameless’ fans, he embossed the binder with the quote “One bad turn deserves another”.

Quoted from his GQ interview, the star mentioned that the quote was an ode to his role as Lip Gallagher for the past 11 years. For die-hard fans, you will probably recognise the sign by the staircase leading to the Gallagher kitchen.

He recently starred in a 2023 biographical sports drama film titled “The Iron Claw” alongside Zac Efron

The family is led by their father, Fritz Von Erich (played by Holt McCallany) and consists of the four Von Erich brothers – Kevin (played by Zac Efron), Kerry (played by White), David (played by Harris Dickinson), and Mike (played by Stanley Simons). Throughout their career, the brothers achieved great success in wrestling but also had to deal with tragic events that deeply affected them.

Taken from his interview with Esquire, the star mentioned that he was “eating all the time” and gained 40 pounds of muscle. That’s about 18 kg worth of muscle.

“In the morning, I would have waffles and almond butter. In the middle of the day, I was eating turkey patties and avocado all the time. It’s really just gross. You’re trying to consume as much as you possibly can, and, to be honest, you don’t feel great. I was training as well, but, I don’t know, trying to get that big, it’s no way to live.”
