Let’s take a trip down memory lane with the Beckhams
David and Victoria Beckham need no introduction. From their first cute meet at a football match in 1997 to their engagement a year later, the world-renowned football player and former Spice Girls member have taken the world by storm with their union as a power couple.
Dubbed ‘Posh and Becks’, their relationship has been subject to heavy media attention, especially with their styles catching the eyes of many — making them one of the biggest names in the fashion world.
In light of the release of Beckham, David’s new docuseries on Netflix highlighting his journey to and through stardom, we have rounded up some of the lovebirds’ best and most memorable moments in fashion through the years.
Take a look at David and Victoria Beckham’s most fashionable moments:
In one of their many matching moments, the couple rocked an all-black ensemble dressed in turtle necks, and Victoria was even spotted donning a fur-collared leather jacket. Photographed leaving a hotel, the former Spice Girl also showed off her ring, confirming their engagement in 1998.
On 4 July 1999, the couple married in an extravagant ceremony at a castle in Ireland. David chose a cream-coloured suit for the big day, while Victoria wore a Vera Wang gown and a tiara designed by Slim Barret made of 18-carat gold and large diamonds.
Even when they aren’t matching, David’s white shirt, jeans and black sneakers combo coordinated perfectly with Victoria’s Denim on denim look, accessorised with a waist chain and silver heels.
At the epitome of the Y2K era, the couple graced the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet, coordinated in white. While Victoria opted for a floor-length, corset-style Dolce and Gabanna gown, accessorised with silver heels and earrings, David came in a white suit, brown shoes and silver accessories.
Channelling Y2K, the couple are coordinated in monochrome, once again!
At the glamorous and star-studded wedding of their son Brooklyn Beckham to Nicola Peltz, the groom’s parents looked as fabulous as ever. Victoria wore a silver metallic slip dress with lace details at the neckline and tied the look together with some stunning accessories as well as silver heels. David on the other hand attended the wedding in a Dior tuxedo, over a crisp white shirt and topped with a black bowtie and glossy black derby shoes.
At the premiere of Beckham, David suited up in a dashing navy number that’s complemented with a white shirt and tie. Victoria wore an elegant white suit, a gorgeous pair of pumps, dainty accessories and a black and gold clutch.
