Meet Aesop’s New Immaculate Facial Tonic

Samy Hamada Aesop

Aesop is no stranger to our vanity table and with each passing product launch, it comes as no surprise when that product inevitably finds a standing place in our skincare rotation. Home to many cult classics, the Australian-born brand continues to impress with their latest innovation: the Immaculate Facial Tonic.

A unique formula that effortlessly refines your skin while imparting a surge of hydration, Aesop’s research & development director, Samy Hamada reveals that the primary purpose of the tonic “is to deliver gentle (chemical) exfoliation and vitamin-enriched hydration in a toner format. Selected vitamins, humectants, botanicals and an exfoliating enzyme are included to balance, replenish, soften, refine and even the texture and appearance of the skin.”

What makes it so effective is the inclusion of Mucor Miehei extract. A first for Aesop, this gentle yet potent exfoliant delicately removes dead skin cells, unveiling a smoother complexion. Unlike traditional exfoliants, its mild nature makes it suitable for a spectrum of skin types, aligning perfectly with Aesop’s commitment to inclusivity.

“Over two decades since the launch of our first toner—Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Facial Toner—which was released in 2002, we are pleased to introduce Immaculate Facial Tonic—and a new addition to the Skin Care+ range. Although distinguished by its lightweight vitamin-enhanced hydration and gentle exfoliation along with its name—’Tonic’—the formulation upholds Aesop’s existing approach to facial toning, acting as much more than a mere bridge between cleansing and hydrating” explains Hamada.
