The Million Gold line has long reflected the house’s fascination with brilliance and individuality. From the debut of the first 1 Million fragrance in 2008 to its many reinterpretations since, the collection has always celebrated the art of standing out. This new parfum channels that same spirit, but with a subtler, more layered tone—one that pairs power with ease and polish with warmth.
Crafted by perfumers Aliénor Massenet, Suzy Le Helley, Nathalie Benareau and Loc Dong, Million Gold for Her Parfum revisits the house’s grand floral signature with greater depth and texture. It opens with a burst of mandarin, a bright introduction that leads into a bouquet of jasmine absolute harvested at the height of its bloom. Notes of orange flower and solar ylang ylang follow, bringing a smooth, creamy lightness that glows without overpowering.
As it settles, the scent reveals its richest layer. Sandalwood, drawn from upcycled white wood, brings a roasted warmth threaded with hints of coffee, caramel and cocoa. The result is a golden trail that feels comforting, refined and enduring on the skin.
Fronting the campaign once again is Gigi Hadid, whose effortless poise captures the essence of the fragrance. “Fragrance can be such a strong tool,” she says. “We all have to find the things that make us feel powerful and ready to take on the day.” It’s an idea that resonates with Rabanne’s view of self-assurance as something quietly cultivated rather than declared.
Visually, the bottle continues the story of sculptural design that defines Rabanne’s aesthetic. The diamond-cut form now carries a soft smoky glaze, echoing the warmth within. Around its centre sits the Maison’s signature XL link, a nod to Paco Rabanne’s heritage of metalwork and a mark of connection and creativity. The bottle is also refillable, a detail that balances artistry with longevity.
The accompanying campaign film, directed by Manu Cossu and shot by Mert Alas, captures the thrill of a night suspended in gold. Hadid moves through a glowing dance floor in a crystal-covered Rabanne dress as Beyoncé’s voice rings out: “It should cost a billion to look this good.” The scene feels cinematic yet effortless—a moment of presence rather than excess.
