“Super Orgasm. Orgasm ecstasy”, says Nars’s global artistry director, Uzo, so seductively as she describes the colours from the limited-edition Orgasm 2019 collection. The former doctor-turned-make-up guru had flown in from Los Angeles, specifically to create magic with the BAZAAR Malaysia team this Friday morning. As stacks of soft-to-the-touch black rectangles of Nars products fill the room, Uzo delves into the reinvention of the Orgasm by creating three different looks for this exclusive video shoot.
“We’ve added pieces we didn’t have before,” says Uzo. “My favourite piece from the collection would be the Endless Orgasm Palette, which has six amazing shades including Orgasm. These are cream highlighters that can be used on the cheeks and the eyes … and the texture is to die for,” exclaims Uzo as she starts building the look on our model for the day. Blending the highlighter with her fingers, the universally flattering shade of Orgasm glowed on the model’s sun-kissed skin—a testament to the cult status of the shade that now celebrates its 20th year, with four limited-edition pieces for that irresistible finish.
“Just a touch of blush can brighten up any routine, and Orgasm is the most reliable shade with it’s coral-leaning peach,” Uzo explains. “Orgasm is so universal that when Nars continues to reinvent it, it’s to give you more options on how to use this shade.”
For a natural flirty flush, Uzo uses the Orgasm blush on the apples of the cheeks and the Orgasm Liquid Highlighter on the high points of the face for a subtle glow. To bring the look from day to night, she creates stunning, piercing eyes by using the velvety shades from the Endless Orgasm Palette, topped with Nars’s Climax Mascara for extra drama. And for the final look—an essential for after-hours seduction—a hint of Orgasm Oil-Infused Lip Tint to stimulate the lips with a surge of hydration.
With only a few simple steps to turn the hot factor on high, it is a no brainer as to why the Orgasm blush has amassed a massive fan following. Since its debut back in 1999, the product remains as popular as ever, and in the case of the 2019 collection, bigger is indeed better with the oversized compact and reinterpreted Orgasm shades. After all, when has anyone ever complained about having multiples …
