With her flowing dark locks and smouldering doe-like eyes, Qalisha exudes a mysterious allure, quite like Man Ray’s photograph, Woman with Long Hair, taken in 1929. However, don’t be fooled by her delicate demeanour. A former singer who once performed at places such as the Royal Palace, Qalisha has also dabbled in the world of business, with a modestwear empire under her belt. It’s no surprise then that the 27-year-old is a strong advocate for the spirit of sisterhood. “It’s important for women to empathise more in today’s world,” she notes. “We need to stop concentrating on how we can reduce competition, and focus on how we can grow together.”
