After a month of shows, the autumn/winter 2019 catwalk season has drawn to a close – and with it comes a whole host of new trends to have on your radar. While bright and sunny yellows seem to be the colour of the new season, feathers are certainly the fancy touch you’ll be adding to your wardrobe. Enormous bags were everywhere, shoulders got the puffy treatment and the bucket hat had a very luxurious makeover.

1 Fantastical Feathers

Undoubtedly the most prominent trend to come out of the autumn/winter 2019 shows was feathers. They were shown in various forms, some extravagant and some more subtle. At Marc Jacobs, ball gowns were covered in luxurious feathers, while Roksanda and Mary Katrantzou gave them a colourful finish. Erdem used them for subtle decoration, while Michael Kors brought back the old school feather boa and Giambattista Valli and Saint Laurent said it with their footwear.
