After a month of shows, the autumn/winter 2019 catwalk season has drawn to a close – and with it comes a whole host of new trends to have on your radar. While bright and sunny yellows seem to be the colour of the new season, feathers are certainly the fancy touch you'll be adding to your wardrobe. Enormous bags were everywhere, shoulders got the puffy treatment and the bucket hat had a very luxurious makeover.

3 Puffy power shoulders

Shoulders were big on the autumn/winter 2019 catwalks, but not in a harsh and padded kind of way, with designers instead adorning dresses and shirts with exaggerated, puffy shoulder detail. At Richard Quinn, Giambattista Valli and Alessandra Rich, the girly touch accentuated already feminine, floral designs, while Givenchy and Alexander McQueen used the puffy sleeves as a fun contrast to some sharp tailoring.
