While everyone was celebrating Memorial Day with BBQs and poolside lounging in America yesterday, Gucci staged their latest Resort 2018 runway show. Here’s what you need to know.

1) The location

This year Alessandro Michele brought Gucci and its loyal followers to Florence, Italy. The show took place at renaissance palace, Palazzo Pitti, in the center of the city.

2) The Front Row

It wouldn’t be a Gucci show without the brand’s favorite faces, like Dakota Johnson (who brought sister Grace Johnson), Jared Leto, Kirsten Dunst (who attended her Fiance Jesse Plemons) and Salma Hayek.

3) The Clothes

As always, more is more when it comes to Gucci. The collection was as opulent and eclectic as ever—fringe, pearls, florals, and every other embellishment you can think of.
