As a mecca of festival fashion and growing street style hub, Coachella is just as much about the clothes as it is about the music. It only seems right, then, to host a fashion show geared towards the festival just a few days before it kicks off. And that’s exactly what Alice + Olivia creative director Stacey Bendet had in mind.

The brand will be joining in on the see now, buy now fashion movement with a special show in partnership with Neiman Marcus on April 13, two days before Coachella’s opening weekend. The collection—fittingly inspired by the Grateful Dead—will be a range of new pieces along with select items from Spring 2016, according to a press release. The presentation will take place at the NeueHouse Hollywood in L.A. and will be available to stream on Alice + Olivia and Neiman Marcus’ social media channels. Twelve pieces from the runway will be available for purchase online immediately after the show concludes.

“A ‘see now, buy now’ runway show is something I have been wanting to do for a few seasons but it took time to feel out when and where felt right,” said Bendet, who aims to make the collection relevant to her shoppers. “I came up with the idea to have the show around Coachella and have the runway looks be based upon things that every girl would want to wear to a music festival,” she added in a statement.

The event seems in line with the direction of the brand, whose Spring 2016 collection resembles a range of elevated festival attire with fringe details, floral accents, bohemian silhouettes and desert motifs. It’ll be interesting to see how those pieces play out with a touch of the Grateful Dead.
