Step inside as Digital Director Amalina takes you into her perspective of the Longchamp Parisian Artisans pop-up.
Art, in all its forms, has its way of capturing a lingering memory–a moment in time. As I stumbled upon the Longchamp Parisian Artisans pop-up in Pavilion KL, it was like stepping into a fashion realm filled with nostalgic moments. Only this time, it was through the eyes of illustrator and ceramist Constantin Riant. Through their shared love for the arts and craftsmanship, Riant collaborates with French Maison Longchamp for a collaboration that transcends pure sophistication.
Just like any wanderer, the art of curiosity heightens no matter where you are. For the artist, he takes his curiosity about his own city–Paris. Through every corner, façade, and neighbourhood, he rediscovers the magic of his city by showcasing the beauty of neighbourhood artisans. Whether it’s the go-to Boulangerie or Fleuriste, the artist takes these familiar shop fronts by evolving them into patterns and façades that are taking over every city by storm.
Inside the Longchamp Parisian Artisans Pop-Up at Pavilion KL:
Splashed in cobalt blue and porcelain white tones, every corner reveals a familiar feeling. More like a memory of my first trip to Paris. Stepping into the Longchamp Parisian Artisans Pop-Up ignited that feeling once more. From the first bite into the warm, buttery French croissants to exploring the streets of Paris, it was a feeling like no other.
The Longchamp x Constantin collection is a tribute to Longchamp’s heritage and the cultural eclecticism of Paris. Through every silhouette and leather goods, every piece blends the essence of the fashion house with Constantin Riant’s touches. The harmonious, contrasting tones may have caught my eye, but the emblem piqued my curiosity. Created by the artist, the emblem represents every code of the House, featuring tools of the leather artisan, the first leather-covered pipes, the iconic Le Pliage bag, needles and thread, a plane and a ship.
Sprinkled onto the ready-to-wear silhouettes and the Le Pliage tote bag, every piece tells a story. My favourites from the collection? The Le Pliage Collection XS Mesh Bag, the Le Pliage Collection M Tote Bag, the Jumpsuit in Cobalt Blue and the Printed Jersey T-shirt. Ideal for every season, these pieces are destined for a spot in your fashion closet. As for me, I can see myself strutting in these pieces for any summer getaway or city adventures.
Another highlight worth adding to your collection is the Les Artisans De Paris Silk Scarf 70. Adorned with Riant’s illustrations of the Paris shopfronts, it’s the perfect way to carry a piece of Paris with you, wherever you go.
The Longchamp Parisian Artisans Pop-Up is open to the public daily till 6 July 2025 at Level 3, Main Entrance, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
