Leave it to Bella Hadid to wear a varsity jacket in the summer heat—and still manage to look cool.

The supermodel was spotted wearing the preppy outerwear while grabbing dinner with her boyfriend, Marc Kalman, in New York City yesterday.

During the outing, Hadid layered her black bomber jacket with white lining over a clingy black T-shirt, which had the word compassionate written across the bust in white cursive text.

For the bottom half of her outfit, she opted for a nearly knee-length gray skirt adorned with a silver safety pin, knee-high black Nike socks, and glossy heeled pumps. Accessories, including a barbed silver chain necklace, silver earrings, black oval sunglasses, and a black mini handbag, added some necessary punk to the preppy look.

Wearing knee-high socks in the summer seems to be a trend that doesn’t faze Hadid. She recently wore another ensemble with extra-high socks, while attending a pop-up collaboration between her wellness drink brand, Kin Euphorics, and dating app Bumble.

Then, she styled the socks with a denim-on-denim outfit composed of a strapless A-line jean bustier and a low-slung denim micro miniskirt. For shoes, she opted for a pair of white loafers and further accessorized with layers of pearl necklaces and a variety of chunky rings.

Hadid previously talked to BAZAAR.com about her wellness goals after becoming a Kin Euphorics partner.

“There’s not a lot of time for me to make decisions for myself, keep promises, and keep schedules. Everything is very much up in the air,” she said. “For a long time, I stopped planning things because I realized I didn’t have much control over my life.” Eventually, she said she began to be more intentional about “div[ing] deeper on this health journey” by setting boundaries and putting herself first.
