Just as is the designer’s trademark, Giambattista Valli’s spring/summer 2019 couture collection featured plenty of frothy tulle dresses and girly gowns, but this season it was met with Eighties mini dresses, couture-spun cowboy boots and splashes of oriental touches. The collection was inspired by Paris and the couturiers that encouraged the designer to start his own atelier, Hubert de Givenchy and Yves Saint Laurent to name just two. It was a celebration of the art of couture itself and the endless hours of work that go into creating each breathtaking gown.
