IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU

Bottega Veneta

Bottega Veneta ended 2019 on a high note as the newly appointed creative director Daniel Lee picked up four accolades at the prestigious Fashion Awards 2019 which included ‘Brand of the Year Womenswear’ and ‘Designer of the Year’—proving that he is a fashion force to be reckoned with. For his third runway collection for the Italian luxury brand, Lee focused on “process and clarity” for Spring/Summer ’20. “This collection plays with proportion, soft structure cutting through tension, and technique with a clean new ease,” said Lee in the show notes. Contemporary, fresh, and sensual: models made their way down the runway in an array of “minimalist” shapes and silhouettes, elevated with Lee’s signature twisting drapes and proportions executed with precision. Moreover, accessories reigned supreme in the shape of XXL shoulder bags, intrecciato woven heels, chunky silver necklaces, and neo-futuristic sunglasses. “Bottega Veneta is about the individual, it’s for you,” said Lee, during his interview backstage after the show.
