Creative director Ian Griffiths took inspiration from the hit spy thriller show Killing Eve for Max Mara Spring/Summer ’20. This translated on the catwalk in the form of sharp tailoring with utilitarian touches (very Eve Polastri) and pops of pastel. From three-piece Prince of Wales suits and Bermuda shorts paired with multi-pocket shirts in pastel colours; and from black-and-white scarves featuring micro-prints to long skirts in delicately coloured Paisley; the collection was designed to equip its wearer against everyday life, whether she’s out saving the world or simply kicking ass in the boardroom.
