The Hollywood actress reunites with fashion designer Alessandro Michele

In fashion’s big reshuffle in the last few seasons, the fates of each creative director’s loyal celebrity friends were left uncertain. As time passes and things settle down, it would seem that the creative directors have managed to win custody of their favourite muses, bringing them along to their respective fashion houses. The latest migration involves Hollywood actress Dakota Johnson, known for her roles in the billion-dollar 50 Shades franchise, The Lost Daughter, Suspiria, and most recently, Materialists alongside Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal.

Hollywood actress Dakota Johnson is Valentino’s latest brand ambassador

Johnson is the new global brand ambassador for Valentino–a continuation of her close relationship with fashion designer Alessandro Michele, who made his move from Gucci to Valentino in March 2024. The actress comments on her appointment as the new face of the Roman fashion brand:

I’m elated to be joining the Valentino family, and beyond happy to be reunited with my dearest friend Alessandro Michele. I am honoured and excited to begin this new chapter with a team of such wonderful and talented people.
