Created in 2003, the D de Dior designed by Victoire de Castellane has been updated constantly without altering its purity of form. This year, it is embellished with a Milanese knit strap. “I was inspired by satin ribbons…The little ribbon bow was always one of the most prized of women’s accessories…They exist in every size and almost every material. You can use them on sleeves, on wrists,” counselled the designer in his Little Dictionary of Fashion.
Available in nineteen- and twenty-five-millimeter diameters, the watch comes in five styles with a steel strap, a mother-of-pearl dial in various shades and a bezel set with diamonds. The D de Dior Satine also comes in two nineteen-millimeter versions with a strap in yellow or rose gold, a “sun” brushed gold dial and a bezel set with diamonds.
