Dolce & Gabbana Is Now Selling Pasta

Dolce & Gabbana has always been proud of their Italian roots, so in some ways, we’re surprised that this latest brand launch hasn’t come sooner. The duo have introduced pasta as the latest addition to their empire via a collaboration with Pasta Di Martino.

The designers haven’t turned chefs for the project – the pasta is made by its aforementioned collaborator, while Dolce & Gabbana has created the decorative packaging, which is strongly reflective of the label’s ornate, colourful aesthetic. Bags of spaghetti, paccheri and penne mezzani rigate come adorned in illustrations and prints made by the brand – an excellent stocking filler if ever we saw one.

To compound the idea that is not ordinary pasta, the price tags aren’t budget – a gift box, complete with five different varieties of the Italian staple dish and a signed apron, retails at £160, available both online and from the Dolce & Gabbana Christmas market at Harrods. However, singular bags are a little easier on the credit card, priced between £5 and £10.
