The House’s new collection encapsulates the spirit of an Italian summer
Gucci unveils its latest collection ‘Gucci Lido’, which captures the glamour of the Italian coastal lifestyle. Drawing inspiration from the charming beach clubs or ‘lidos’ that adorn Italy’s breathtaking coastline, the new collection pays homage to the vibrant and joyful seaside lifestyle. Conceived by Creative Director Sabato De Sarno and filmed by Anthony Seklaoui, the campaign embodies an escapist spirit that celebrates sun-kissed day and refreshing breezes.
Gucci Lido presents a range of refined timeless pieces from swimwear and resort wear that blend luxury with comfort. The collection features fresh takes of the brand’s signature handbag lines, with the iconic Gucci Jackie and GG Marmont bags reimagined in straw effect raffia and canvas styles. These pieces exude a laid-back charm that perfectly complements the summer aesthetic.
Additionally, radiant GG canvas accessories such as the Gucci Luce and Moon Side bags create a playful vibe to the collection, while accessories with neon details bring a modern touch to classic motifs.
To bring the essence of the Gucci Lido collection to life, the House is planning a series of in-store pop-ups in some of the world’s most famous vacation destinations. From Porto Cervo and Capri to the Hamptons and Saint-Tropez, each resort offers an ideal backdrop for displaying the collection’s vibrant pieces.
These pop-ups allow travellers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Gucci Lido, discovering one-of-a-kind pieces and experiencing the brand’s signature luxury firsthand.
Besides, the House will host a private event at Hotel Il Pellicano, an exclusive retreat nestled on the Tuscan coast, to further enhance the Gucci Lido experience. Guests are able to enjoy a curated getaway that celebrates the art of Italian hospitality and the natural beauty of the Mediterranean scenery from 24 May to 26 May.
