It’s time to meet Givenchy’s newest era
From structural silhouettes to unexpected blooms and patching craftsmanship, the Givenchy Autumn/Winter 2025 spotlights subtle, timeless femininity. Characterised by defined shoulders, cinched waist, curved sleeves and an hourglass silhouette, the collection has a definite look that shifts between sharply tailored pieces to unexpected adornements.
But, above all, the collection is a tribute to the brilliant women Sarah Burton, the creative director of Givenchy, has worked with. “The beauty of all women inspires me—including my team. I wanted to capture the brilliant women I work with amongst the cast—real moments with everyone working together,” said Sarah Burton.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Givenchy Autumn/Winter 2025 collection:
Debuting her first-ever collection with Givenchy, Sarah Burton looked to fabrics such as mohair, leather, crêpe, jacquard and mesh for the Autumn/Winter 2025 collection. There were serendipitous, long, floral embroidered skirts in satin, draped with a voluminous bow on the front, and a classic, structured, double-breasted jacket in wool crepe to tie it all together. Even a long knitted dress in mesh made an emergence, along with butter yellow splattered across draped dresses and a cocoon wool coat. Some unexpected, yet some appeared fitting for the fashion House. Accessories like the Pinch and Voyou bag have been reimagined in different colour palettes and even fabrics—turning them into of the most sought-after pieces for the season.
The heart of it all? It’s the campaign that followed the collection. Dotted with “unposed gestures, laughter and moments of conversation”, the campaign showcases the empowering spirit and fashion conceptualisation Sarah Burton is bringing in as the new creative director. Shot by Collier Schorr, the campaign sees Adut Akech, Vittoria Ceretti, Nyaduola Gabriel, Kaia Gerber, Eva Herzigova, Emeline Hoareau and Liu Wen exuding the notion of womanhood and femininity—a classic rhyme scheme for Givenchy.
All in all, the collection bridges the gap between Parisian glamour and modern contemporary well—making it a collection fit for the cosy season and beyond. We still see the legacy of Hubert de Givenchy, but it’s been reinterpreted in a new and bold form, carried by a modern femininity, desire and power.
