Louis Vuitton reportedly goes to extreme lengths to keep the rain at bay during its fashion shows. The French fashion house is said to employ a shaman to ensure that the weather is perfect on occasions when the brand is showing its new collections outdoors.

According to American Vogue, Louis Vuitton has hired a Brazilian shaman on a number of occasions to help with the weather when hosting fashion shows in exotic locations. This includes when the house put on shows in Rio de Janeiro and Kyoto.
However, skeptical executives on the board are said to have put a stop to the huge expense of the shaman (who apparently only flies first class), until late last month when Dior suffered from a rainstorm during its cruise show. After the heavy storm happened, the unnamed shaman was back on the payroll for Vuitton’s upcoming show.

The Brazilian is said to have been flown to the small French town of Saint-Paul de Vence to work his magic on the weather – and it looks as if it was money well spent. Despite the fact that there were heavy clouds throughout the show, the rain held off until after the Nicholas Ghesquiere had taken his bow.
