She’s Dancing Through Life.
Oscar-winning actress Michelle Yeoh is all set to reprise her role as Madame Morrible in the highly anticipated Wicked sequel “Wicked: For Good”. As the stars of the film made their grand entrance on the “yellow brick road” at the UK premiere in London, Yeoh, alongside the star-studded cast, including Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, was a sight to behold in their mesmerising looks.
Michelle Yeoh, on the other hand, captivated the premiere with her elegant fashion choice—a black velvet gown with sculptured French lace detailing, ending with a small train of sophistication. What made this moment truly special was her collaboration with Malaysian, London-based designer Han Chong of Self-Portrait to create a custom-made piece for the premiere. The gown, with its fluid-like silhouette and attention-grabbing sculptural neckline, bore a striking resemblance to her character from the film.
To complement her silhouette were a set of dazzling pearl accessories from MIKIMOTO that cascaded under the starry night sky, along with a Richard Mille timepiece that radiates with every stride. The star completed her look with a soft makeup rosy look, while sporting a sleek ponytail and soft waves at the end. All in all, we can definitely say that this red carpet silhouette captured our gaze for its sculptured yet graceful profile.
In an Instagram post from @mrselfportrait, the designer posted exclusive BTS images of bringing the dress to life. Take a peek to see what went down:
