As more and more designers choose to shun the traditional fashion-week format and stage more original show concepts to present their new collections, Opening Ceremony has announced that it will be putting on its next show at Disneyland California.
The brand has shunned the usual schedule for a few seasons now, choosing to stage everything from ballet shows to a political pageant.
Roping in none other than Mickey Mouse to help reveal the news, the brand announced via Instagram that the show would be held on 7 March this year. This will mark the first time that Disneyland California has hosted a fashion show in over 40 years.
Apart from the exciting location, Opening Ceremony hasn’t revealed much more about the show, but WWD reports that it will feature current season merchandise in a see-now, buy-now format. Whether any of the models will be Disney characters has also not yet been disclosed, but we’ve got our fingers crossed.
