SS24 Haute Couture: Chanel Teases its Latest Short Film “The Button”

The Spring/Summer 2024 Haute Couture show will be unveiled tonight at 9 PM (Malaysian time).

Taking place in the City of Lights, Chanel teases its latest short film, “The Button,” in anticipation of the Spring/Summer 2024 Haute Couture show.

Written and directed by Dave Free, scored by Kendrick Lamar, and serviced by pgLang, the film features Margaret Qualley as she searches for a missing button from her signature Chanel tweed jacket.

‘The Button’ follows Qualley as she goes on a mission to meet with Chanel’s head designer (played by Chanel ambassador and actress Anna Mouglalis) at the Maison’s iconic 31 Rue Cambon storefront. Along the way, she encounters supermodel icon and friend of the House, Naomi Campbell, before embarking on her adventure to the legendary location in Paris. The journey then continues with Mouglalis reminding Qualley of the emotional value of the button as a symbol of transmission by stating, ”Beauty within the imperfections of time.”

Taken from the press statement, ‘Beauty within the imperfection of time’, are words that we live by,” confide Dave Free and Kendrick Lamar of pgLang, who have responded to Virginie Viard’s imagination by celebrating intimacy and transmission, two values inseparable from CHANEL Haute Couture. “Every imperfection has a story to tell, just waiting on the next listener to add another page to the book.”

Stay tuned for the full film tonight, and be prepared to watch it all unfold at 9 PM (MYT) on chanel.com.
