Can you feel the heat? As the spring/summer season approaches, patterns are gleaming boldly this season. Just in time for the summer heat, Sandro collaborates with French artist and designer Louis Barthélemy for its capsule collection. As an illustrator and textile designer, the artist spends his time between Paris, Egypt and Morocco. However, there’s one city in particular that heavily inspired the collection, and it’s none other than the city of Morocco.

Everything to know about the Sandro x Louis Barthélemy collaboration:

With a city like Morocco that oozes history and character, this easily inspired Sandro’s founder and artistic director, Evelyne Chetrite, who used to reside in Rabat, Morocco, growing up.

Through fond memories of her grandfather and the burst of colours in her daily life, Evelyne’s admiration for craftsmanship and uses of colours is how the collaboration came about today.

Her goal was simple: Creating a collection in a modern fresco spirit. In the collection, you will easily spot bright graphics inspired by scenes of Moroccan life.

Ideal for any tropical holiday, trust that these pieces will be your ultimate pick for your daily fits. With phenomenal hues in deep red, orange, pink, purple, blue and more, you can definitely expect this to be a staple in your wardrobe for Malaysia’s scorching heat.

In the collection, you will spot silk shirts, tees, shorts and pants splashed in vibrant prints. Whether you want to flaunt a print-on-print look or balance it with neutral tones, it’s entirely up to you. For accessories, the straw bucket bag and Kasbah bags are the ultimate It bags to carry this season, as they’re beautifully hand-embroidered to match idyllic Morocco.

Now, what makes the bucket bag so unique is that it’s made by the DOUM FOR WOMEN. Furthermore, the cooperative empowers women in a rural community in Morocco to preserve ancestral knowledge of basketry.
