Onitsuka Tiger continues to fuse fashion with its heritage in sports and innovation. For its Autumn Winter 2024 collection, Andrea Pompilio showcased 49 distinctive looks that we adore. Themed “Urban Winter,” the brand stayed true to its Japanese brand DNA by taking inspiration from its hometown. Each pieces demonstrated premium craftsmanship and innovative design, making it perfect for the urban lifestyle.
BAZAAR travelled to Singapore for a chance to see each pieces up close during its press preview at the National Gallery of Singapore. As expected, the collection captures the essence of Tokyo.

This collection offers a fresh take on traditional and modern attire, built on the concept of layering. Each pieces can either stand alone or layered with to build a personalised look. Of course, they features the brand’s iconic yellow complemented by metropolitan hues of black, grey, beige, and hazelnut.

Additionally, we notice sequins adorning some of the women pieces. The sequins peeking through layers add a subtle hint of flair to the collection. Textures such as wet-look fabrics inspired by Tokyo’s rainstorms furthers elevate the looks. What’s more, the double cashmere hoodie was presented as a new layering concept, styled as outerwear over coats, exemplifying the brand’s forward-thinking approach.

Additionally, the versatile rib-knitted zip-neck wool wear, a modern reinterpretation of their iconic track top, could be styled as a modern scarf or an extreme crop top. Women’s pieces features irregular cuts, uneven folds, and daring cutouts, creating dynamic silhouettes.

A key highlight includes the debut of Onitsuka Tiger’s first V-neck pumps with chunky heels. These pumps are designed for comfort and stability. For a cohesive look, you can perfectly match them with the sequin-fitted silk-paneled dress. The brand also plays a lot with proportions this season. Featuring sculpted, padded, and snatched-at-the-waist blazers, and precision tailoring techniques such as tube padding and ribbing. The pieces truly exemplifies the brand’s commitment and marks a great entry into high fashion for its 75th anniversary.
