Rizman Ruzaini debuts at Dubai Fashion Week

Malaysian label Rizman Ruzaini recently presented their Spring/ Summer 2024 line at Dubai Fashion Week.

Malaysian label Rizman Ruzaini debuted at Dubai Fashion Week, closing the event with their Spring/Summer 2024 line. One of the biggest fashion houses in Malaysia, Rizman Ruzaini distinguishes itself on its passion for creating authentic and timeless designs.

This Spring/Summer 2024 collection featured an array of stunning pieces brought to life with Rizamn Ruzaini’s distinctive intricate details and beadwork. Models swept the runway in myriad hues and in garments inspired by the Naga Seri Gumum folk legend, which depicts the tale of a dragon in a deep slumber in the depths of Tasik Chini, a lake in Pahang.

The show was closed by supermodel icon Naomi Cambell, who donned a striking floor-length, beadwork-adorned black gown and cape, paired with black heels. Rizman Ruzaini announced that the gown has since been named the ‘Naomi Cape and dress’, and was said to take over 600 hours to make, featuring “songket motifs such as pucuk rebung, tampuk manggis, bunga tanjung, tampuk kesemak and many more.”

Naomi was joined by the label’s founders, Rizman Nordin and Ruzaini Jamil, who took to Instagram with a photo of them hand in hand, closing the show, captioned ‘Dreams do come true’. They extended their admiration towards Naomi in another post, saying, “She is as real as a woman of the world gets, but also magical when she took the runway, on a world-class platform like Dubai Fashion Week, wearing a Rizman Ruzaini piece. Naomi Campbell is in a class of her own. What an enigma.”
