Fans can rejoice as Weekend Max Mara has opened its first boutique in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
Introduced in 1983, Weekend Max Mara was created for the everyday woman who loves to be comfortable but never sacrifices on personal style. Over the years, the beloved Italian brand has evolved into an authentic lifestyle label with its own unique identity and possesses wide-spanning collections of ready-to-wear and effortless accessories. The brand plays on the balance between formal and informal, producing clean, timeless, and essential pieces you can wear on any occasion.
Fans of the brand can rejoice as Weekend Max Mara has opened its first boutique in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. Strategically located at the mall’s Centre Court on the third floor, the 90 square metre boutique features a serene and chic aesthetic with the usage of modern, clean furniture and the brand’s classic neutral hues.
Every season, Weekend Max Mara produces a Signature Capsule collection that’s designed or inspired by a renowned creative who interprets the house codes from their distinct point of view. Past collaborations include supermodel Alek Wek, British Vogue’s former Fashion Director, Lucinda Chambers, and American interior designer Anthony Baratta.
For Spring/Summer 2021, Weekend Max Mara’s Signature Capsule is designed in collaboration with American illustrator and pop artist Donald Robertson. Titled ‘Futterflies’, Donald injects his fun-loving art into the line with a vibrant palette, colourful motifs, and a play on the brand’s long-time symbol, the butterfly. “It’s all very fun! Easy breezy. Or tongue-in-chic as I call it,” he says. ‘Flutterflies’ features American personality, Sofia Richie, as the face of the line, who is seen wearing the collection against a backdrop of a tropical garden in its campaign images shot by photographer Dewey Nicks. ‘Futterflies’ is available at the new Kuala Lumpur boutique.
