The glitziest event – Cannes Film Festival 2023 – in the world is finally here. Held on the French Riviera, this year’s schedule has several films to look forward to, so you can expect many spellbinding moments to unfold. Trust us, when we say you need to keep your eyes peeled – because you won’t want to miss out any second of the festival. Stars such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Harrison Ford, Alicia Vikander, and Natalie Portman are among the celebrities expected to attend the week-long event. 

The Cannes Film Festival 2023 will begin on 16 May, with the French film Jeanne du Barry, which stars Johnny Depp. The festival will then conclude on 27 May with Pixar’s newest animated film Elemental. From historical fiction to comedy, the selection of films that will premiere at the festival has us gripping the edge of our seats. So, what else is making an appearance? Cannes Film Festival 2023

Starring Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore, May December is about a married couple who were under pressure after their notorious tabloid romance was showcased everywhere. After two years, a Hollywood actress meets them to do research for a film about their past and things take a bit of a twist and turn.

Elemental

Directed by Peter Sohn, Elemental is about a city where fire, water, land, and air residents live together, and a fiery young woman and a go-with-the-flow guy discover something elemental – how much they actually have in common.

Killers of The Flower Moon

Set in the 1920s, this film features Leonardo DiCaprio. It follows members of the Osage Native American tribe after a discovery of oil on their land and murder.

Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny

Daredevil archaeologist Indiana Jones races against time to retrieve a legendary dial that can change the course of history. Soon after he is accompanied by his goddaughter and finds himself squaring off against Jürgen Voller, a former Nazi who works for NASA.

The Idol

The Idol is an upcoming American drama television series created by Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, Reza Fahim, and Sam Levinson. The series focuses on an aspiring pop idol and her complex relationship with a self-help guru and cult leader.

Jeanne Du Barry

One of the most anticipated films, Jeanne du Barry is an upcoming French biographical drama film written, directed and produced by Maïwenn and starring herself and Johnny Depp in the leading roles.
