The perfect in-between.
As Samsung introduces their latest Galaxy S25 series, comprising three models that range in size and performance, we’ve spotlighted the S25+. Packed with cutting-edge features and a sleek design, the S25+ promises a top-tier experience for all—whether casual users or tech enthusiasts. Maybe you’re looking to upgrade from an outdated model or considering your first dive into the Galaxy ecosystem—whichever it is, I have broken down everything you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy S25+ below, after spending some time with the device myself.
Read on to find all you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy S25+:
Souped-up design
Within the redesigned packaging, you will find the S25+ smartphone, a Type-C charging cable and an ejection pin. If aesthetics are placed high on your list of priorities when it comes to selecting a new gadget, you will be pleased with the selection offered for the S25+ collection. The model comes in four standard colors, namely Navy, Silver Shadow, Icyblue and Mint, with additional hues such as Blueblack, Coralred and Pinkgold exclusively available at samsung.com.my. Sleek and tough in design, the metallic finish on the light aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 display glass allows for strong protection and no grimy fingerprints in sight, which is perfect for me ever since I’ve joined the fraction of phone owners who have ditched the phone case.
Picture-perfect
By only having a slightly smaller display panel than the Ultra at 6.7 inches, the S25+ still shares the same amount of pixels at 3,120 by 1,440, implying a higher pixel density than the Ultra—that means clear and crisp visuals. In terms of camera abilities, the S25+ has not changed from its S24 counterparts. It features a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and 30x hybrid Space Zoom.
As for capturing videos, the S25+ can record in 8K resolution at up to 30fps and allow you to record with stabilisation at lower resolutions and frame rates. If your occupation—like mine—involves content creation and producing high-resolution images and videos that showcase good details and true colours, this camera setup is perfect. The front-facing camera maxes out at 4K resolution at 60fps as well. Another highlight this year is their ProVisual Engine with support for HDR portraits, LOG video capture, false colour correction and Zebra pattern correction. The Ultra gains high-resolution macro photography using the 50MP ultra-wide camera.
Impressive performance
At the core of the series is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy that fuels on-device processing for more responsive AI experiences. Like its counterparts, the S25+ comes with the standard 12GB RAM, with the option for 256GB or 512GB in storage. Aided by the Snapdragon Elite 8, together with its redesigned One UI 7 software, the S25+’s 4,900mAh battery can be expected to be equipped with an increased battery life. While testing the device, I was pleasantly surprised to have gone through a full day of events and on-the-go editing without having to charge.
AI at a new level
While raising the bar for premium technology in design and minor software updates, the AI features that have been integrated within the One UI 7 are most anticipated. Samsung has now incorporated Now Brief to give customised suggestions to guide you through the day while the customisable Now Bar (which sits on the lock screen) offers a new hub for ongoing activities—I found this to be particularly helpful with keeping track of important dates and appointments, being a forgetful person myself. From enhanced productivity with Writing Assist to limitless creativity unleashed by Drawing Assist, the upgraded abilities of Galaxy AI continue to equip users in every aspect of their daily lives. With just a single command, Gemini can effortlessly find a user’s favourite sports team’s schedule and add it to Samsung Calendar. Google’s enhanced Circle to Search also gives users more helpful information with AI Overviews and one-tap actions.
